9941 Ultralite Wrap-around

The Ultralite provide a wide area of protection against x-ray. Their high curvature provide adequate lateral protection which eliminates the need for side shields.

Explanation of prescriptions

Plano - No prescription needed.

Single Vision - Used to correct a single vision problem such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

Plano/Bifocal - allows you to see at a distance without magnification correction, giving the lens two focal points: the unmagnified upper lens and the lower bifocal insert portion.

Bifocal - is divided into two parts to accommodate a combination of two different prescriptions into one lens. One area of the lens will have one prescription (usually distance), and a segment in the lower half will have the other. (usually near vision).

Progressive - They have a gradual change in prescription and don't have visible lines separating the segments, so they look the same as single-vision lenses. The distance vision part of the lens is usually in front of the pupil, with the near vision part in the lower section of the lens.
