Xenolite Basic Measurement Instructions
Xenolie garments come in a wide range of sizes, and a few quick measurements will ensure a proper fit.
All that is needed is a cloth measuring tape and a second person to take the measurements.
The measurements needed are the chest, waist, hips and length.
With your arms raised, have your helper bring the tape around the fullest part of your chest. Lower your arms before taking the measurement. Record the measurement in either inches or centimetres, making note of which you use.
For the waist, the location of the measurement is important, particularly for two-piece vest and skirt sets. The measurements should be made where the skirt will be worn, most often above the hip bone in line with the naval. Be sure to measure around the fullest part of the abdomen to allow full hip-to-hip overlap.
Hip measurements are taken in the same manner as the waist, measure around the fullest area of the hips. If possible take the length measurements whilst wearing a similar apron to the one being ordered.
For two-piece aprons have your helper measure from the highest point of the shoulder down over the chest and ending about 2 inches below the waist. This allows for a proper overlap of the vest and skirt.
The length of the skirt is critical for proper bone marrow protection. Measure from the top of the skirt to just above the knee, again record the measurement making note of whether you use inches or centimetres.
For one-piece frontal and wrap around aprons simply measure from the highest point on the shoulder coming over the chest and ending just above the knee. Remember to stand as straight as possible whilst looking straight ahead.
Following these instructions will ensure that your Apron will be sized properly for comfort and protection.
